If we can get everyone at preschool and their friends and family to sign up to Easyfundraising, then we think this can help us raise a lot of money and is an easier and free way to do so.
Follow the instructions below to get set up and link Pavilion Pirates to your account.
Download the Easyfundraising App on your phone/tablet.
If you are using a laptop, then log into https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk
Follow the instructions to create your Easyfundraising account.
Once you have created your account, you can then see which brands will donate to our cause when you make any purchase online through the Easyfundraising site. If you use certain shops more than others, you can make these your favourites to save searching for them each time.
For example, if you do an internet shop each week through Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda, etc, then they will give our cause a small amount (depending on shop) each time you shop.
Its free money for us and does not cost you a thing!
You now need to CLICK on the cause heart shape/favourite and choose your cause.
We are shown as Pavilion Pirates Pre-School Hedge End.
This page will also show how much we have raised.
You can also track the value of your own donations if you CLICK the donations tab.
On the Home page, CLICK the account head symbol in the top left corner.
CLICK ‘Enable our Donation Reminder for mobile’.
CLICK on Enable the Donation Reminder.
‘Donation available’ will now pop up when a donation is available.
Tap the pop up and then ‘Get donation’.
You will now need to CLICK on the puzzle piece in the search bar and CLICK on Manage Extensions to check that the Easyfundraising Donation Reminder extension is ‘ON’.
Example – You would like to purchase a new TV from Currys.
There are two ways to do this – You could go into the Easyfundraising App on your phone/device or into the website – www.easyfundraising.co.uk
Sign into your account and search Currys in the brand name and it will come up as follows. Or you can go into Safari and search ‘Currys’ and, as you have already enabled the donation reminder extension for Easyfundraising, the pop up will show – this example shows that Currys will donate up to 2% of the amount spent to your cause, Pavilion Pirates.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
If you already have a shopping APP such as Sainsbury’s, M&S, Tesco, etc, then you will have to go through the Easyfundraising APP to get the donation, otherwise it is not recognised.
There are so many brands that will give us a donation, so if you are thinking of booking a train ticket through Trainline or maybe booking a short break away or even a holiday, then please check your Easyfundraising App/Account. Brands such as Tui, First Choice, Expedia, Booking.com all give us donations. A family holiday abroad could potentially give us a donation of £40.
If those of you who do weekly internet food shops could remember to go through the APP first to get the donation pop up then you could potentially raise over £52 each year for our cause for free.
